âWhere have you been all day?â
Tyler was of course the first person Harlow bumped into after arriving back at the hotel. They met on the villa stairs â Tyler on his way out, Harlow on her way up to her room.
âFor a walk.â
Tyler raised an eyebrow. âWhat, all day?â
Harlow held his gaze. âDid you know the network of old paths across this island and the trails through the pine forest are completely stunning?â
âOkay,â he said slowly. âYou really can be a nerd sometimes, Harlow.â
She narrowed her eyes. âWhat, because Iâm interested in nature and walking and stuff like that?â
âExactly. Iâve been waiting for you to come back with the car all afternoon. You finished with it?â
âYeah, sorry. I thought Iâd be back sooner.â
âSomeone kept you out, did they?â He smirked and took the car keys from her. âYou not going to ask where Iâm going?â
âNo, why should I?â
He shrugged. âSee you later.â
She watched him clatter down the stairs. He obviously wanted her to ask where he was going, or more likely who he was going with. He was still playing games.
